Overview

Organised by Festivals Malta, Notte Bianca is one of Malta’s biggest annual arts and culture festivals. For one special night, every first Saturday of October, the Valletta cityscape lights up with a spectacular celebration of the arts that is open to the public free of charge. Valletta’s streets, piazzas, churches, state palaces and museums are transformed into venues for a myriad of live performances and concerts, while many cafés and restaurants extend their opening hours. The entire city of Valletta, from City Gate to Fort St Elmo, comes alive for Notte Bianca, guaranteeing a memorable night that truly holds something for everyone.

The Challenge

Reimagine and rebrand one of Malta’s most well-known events, Notte Bianca. As a beloved cultural celebration that has become synonymous with creativity, innovation, and community spirit, the task was to breathe new life into its brand identity while preserving its essence and heritage.

The Solution

We proposed a flexible brand identity inspired by the concept of opening doors to culture and heritage. Our vision was to create a dynamic and versatile brand that embodies the richness and diversity of the event, capable of adapting to various colours and themes while remaining as powerful and evocative as culture itself. The use of vibrant colors and fluid design elements will convey a sense of energy, excitement, and inclusivity, reflecting the dynamic nature of the event and its ability to captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
